What You'll Do

As a Care Nest caregiver, your day-to-day work may include:

  • Providing companionship and conversation
  • Assisting with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene
  • Helping with mobility, transfers, and fall prevention
  • Preparing meals and assisting with light housekeeping
  • Supporting clients with memory-related conditions like Alzheimer’s and dementia
  • Accompanying clients to appointments and errands
  • Providing respite coverage so family caregivers can rest

What We Look For

We hire for character first — skills can be taught, but compassion can’t. Ideal caregivers are:

  • Patient, dependable, and genuinely caring
  • Comfortable working independently in a client’s home
  • Strong communicators who build trust easily
  • Able to pass required background checks and clearances (including PA criminal history and child abuse clearances, as applicable)
  • Available for flexible shifts, including days, evenings, overnights, or weekends

Prior caregiving experience is a plus, but not always required — we provide orientation and ongoing support to help you succeed.
